Generally speaking in most horror films (especially American horror films) they will usually take place in a small backwater town where everyone knows everyone, there are a few other elements; there is almost always lots of shops ran by cheery friendly locals, there is usually a local sheriff and most of the time lots of fields including those large buildings that house corn and normally have rivers near by. Now I am not here to talk about films but more of the towns they depict. Aside from the horrific reputation these places seem to get they seem very nice, the idealistic, friendly cookie cutter mom baking an apple pie and then leaving it on the porch to cool and very few people lock their doors. I have heard of some places like this such as Hanover in New Hampshire which I know does exist for real and also the location there they filmed Dawsons Creek of Wilmington in North Carolina but does anyone here live in these sort of places? Do you like living there or do you dislike the quiet? Is it really or do these places not really exist in reality?
